See the thing here Dew is, just because I complained a few times about certain things. You decided to make a premier out of it, both in the SMO room and here. But thats fine. If you truly think that that is why I'm upset with the pack then go ahead.

In my career of playing SM (If I can even call it that) THe milestones I've ever truly appreciated were the passes. Not the AAAs not even the amounts of them. In fact one of the few things I can tell you about anything i've ever done is that my first AAA was a 7 step song called "Abyss - The Heavens Mix"

I've come a long way from that time and I'd hardly call myself a bad player especially among a few of the players in the room. For not playing SMO in quite a few months I had no problem staying up ranking 2nd or 1st. I don't nearly care about how well I can do. I'm sure if I wanted to, I could whore and AAA a few songs worth AAAing.

Hell, I enjoy Paradigm Shift. I'm a little upset at its cut, but it was done towards the difficulty the right way. A majority of that pack however just seems liek its trying to fit a stereotype of WE NEED PIANO WHICH IS NUTS AND CRAZY JAZZ AND **** WITH 24THS AND OTHER THINGS.

I don't mind hard songs. I spend a lot of my SM time seeing if I can still do Jackhammers on songs consistently. FFR has killed my SM timing to quite a degree, so much so that I really only bother playing CotB v1 and Cruel Whole when I'm warmed up.

But yeah, you're absolutely right. The reason I play this game is to make sure that no one can ever be better than my scores. I must have the best scores.

For the intelligent person you seem to be that was a very dumb comment. To clarify, it is awesome to play a song that you enjoy. It becomes old news if you can't ever reach the goals you set for the song. Whether it means passing it or doing well on it. We as good players get a to a point where it is rarely ever the issue of passing a song, its normally getting good scores. I as a player don't enjoy songs with parts that are nearly out of the realm to do well on without playing it several hundred times to get used to. When I first startedplaying the game, I liked long marathons that were difficult. Now all it takes is one ridiculous part that its outside of the difficulty of the rest of the 8 minute song to make me hate playing it. (I E playing something 5 minutes long being majority 16ths with scattered 24ths and suddenly have a 32nd run that lasts for 5 seconds which is enough to draw your attention to that part int he song to do well as opposed to worrying about the song itself)

I realize that perhaps I was hasty to say this pack was bad because I said it with a tone hoping to discourage people from downloading it. Everyone should download whatever the hell they want. I still have this pack downloaded and I do play a few songs. I thoroughly enjoy playing Nefertiti (if thats how its spelt) and a few others. I just find myself not playing a good majority, which is why I said what I said.
