sightread?
Okay, I am absolutely ashamed that I am asking this, but what exactly does sightread mean? I hear everyone use this term, and I have no idea what it means.
God, I feel like a noob again... (This is almost as bad as when I didn't know what trills were  )

Sightread means to read for the first time (it's an original musical term) and it just refers to reading the music at first sight-- hence the term sightread
