Just saw it today and it was awesome. I hope this is the last one though because most movie series start losing their quality at or after the third movie.

The movie pretty much adds up with the story, so there is no need to make another Pirates movie. Still, it would be pretty cool.

Wasnt that filmed in the Utah Salt Flats?

Haha, anyway, Keira Knightley said she will not do another pirates. So if they will do another one it will be a spin-off, possibly following just Jack and Barbosa on their next quest

Dang .... I wish Keira Knightley would do another one.

Main reasons for watching Pirates of the Caribbean = Keira Knightley (just in general), and seeing Jack run (like in the beginning when he was running after his ship in the Locker). Rofl ... so funny.

I absolutely LOVED this movie. In the very first scene when the coin was falling, after the music stopped I noticed that the entire theatre was absolutely silent. It was a good attention grabber.

However, despite its glory, I do have a few complaints.

As with the Star Wars movies, I felt that after the first one things started getting more towards the "kiddy" side. For example:

When Sparrow ran off to take over the Flying Dutchman, it was pretty intense. I was really into it, wondering how it was gonna play out, but then CGI Jack says "Nobody move! I lost me brain," and the cornyness of it jolted me back into the theatre. There were a few serious moments that had a useless, "funny" moment for scene transition, and IMO it kinda killed the mood.

If I remember correctly, at the end of the scene where Jones was talking to Calypso there was something stupid like that... but I can't remember for sure so don't call me out.

All in all, though, a WONDERFUL movie - and one of the best crowd experiences I've had since I saw Snakes on a Plane in a packed theatre.

But I hope Hollywood just lets this series be because it'd be a shame to follow it up with crap.

The movie was excellent. I still think the second was the best of the three, so I'd have to agree with Reach. I like the wickedness of Davey Jones and the Flying Dutchmen. The third didn't present much of that and it made Davey Jones appear more like a person rather than this wicked master of the seas.

Out of trilogy, this movie has to be the best one.

I don't know why anybody would watch Pirates for Keira. She's a total bitch in the movie... I'm glad she isn't doing another.

Am I the only one who likes the second better than the third?
I think the third was the weakest of the trilogy. Not that it was bad though, it was definitely worth the watch. But it was not as funny. Also there were too many characters to keep up with. And

The whole freeing Calypso thing made no sense. The only thing she does is the whirlpool. Now that is a cool effect and added to the tension of the final battle but did it actually have any point in the plot?

She played a huge role in the part the directors cut out. If you stayed for the scene after the credits, you may have picked up on it, but if not, I can foward you a PM detailing it.

I'm in the exact same boat as Reach. Loved the second, didn't like this one as much. It seems they tried dragging out the series more than they should have - I think I would've been more satisfied if they had left it at one movie. The second and third seem to be two completely separate films in the fact that they're both centered around davy jones, the flying dutchman and repaying debts, while the first is all about the black pearl and the pirate curse. In addition, the movie tried to be too "epic" at times I felt, more than it should have, which I found distasteful and out of place. The whole whirpool scene was done really well, though.

Also, I didn't stay to the end of the credits, anyone mind pming me or something what happens? Kinda pissed about that.
