I getting that impression also.
Jx did a great job and all. And I understand Tass moving and such. But I would really appreciate it if Shash could move things a bit quicker, I realise everyone has a life, but this all wouldn't have happened if it just got to Tass on time. Rather than taking a month. And each batch is just going to take longer and longer. Because this one is taking a long time, that means that this next one is going to pile up to 100+ songs. Which if the same thing is going to happen, then the next will pile up more, and its a never ending cycle. They need to have a large release of some kind, Like all the kyle ward songs or something. Then they need to get a set deadline for each of the batches. I mean come on. Testing a file isn't that hard, If a stepfile sucks, it sucks. If its good, its good. There, set and done. It doesn't take 20 plays to find out whats wrong with it if you have a good rhythm. |

I think it's reasonable that the batch isn't done.
Yes, I know I sound like a dumb**** right now though it's true. Nearly 80 simfiles are sent to Tass, Shash, and Jimerax. It's been like two months by now so about over 300 files have already been sent in. Jimerax is also a Simfile Creator so him himself is working hard. Same as Tass, he's a Admin for the site and he's working on many things for FFR. Shash, um idk.. But think about that. |

At this rate, submitting a simfile is like saying "make a wish and hope it comes true."

This is taking too long. I'm sure with all the time they spend looking through the forums they could finish these things in two days.

On the other hand, you can just stop posting useless crap and appreciate what you're getting entirely for free. Anyway, getting back to business, after a few times listening to that PotC remix, I don't feel like it would make for a very enjoyable chart more than one or two plays, and that's no good. I'm out of ideas. dBu's music is great, but I'm fairly sure a lot of the other sim artists have already done excellent files for his music. Any suggestions from anyone?

I'm not going to complain because I don't have any hope for any of my sims in this batch
I'll save all of my complaining for the next one. |

You're right let's just all judge our own files from now on, it'll make everyone happy and FFR will be much better

Sorry 'bout being slow, I'm really, really bad about procrastinating (# of English papers submitted on time in all of high school: 1). >_>
But trust me, bitching at me doesn't accomplish anything. I don't really mind it, but the only bitching that motivates me to actually get stuff done is Tass's. Bitching from file authors, often riddled with insults or things like "let's go to Shash's house and kill him", just makes me laugh and go play GH some more. Just an FYI.

i've been IMing Shash 3-5 times a day telling him to move his ass and finish this damn batch.
my main point is that if he can finish ONE really large batch quickly, it'll make the next batch really small, and easy to do, and then all future batches will be small and easy to do. the upcoming batch will almost certainly be 120-140 songs.

@Shash, Though you're one of the most experienced players out there, and for that reason a very good choice to judge these files, I don't think procrastination to this large of a degree is a very good quality in this kind of field. Especially since it's not going to get any easier.
I mean, seriously, if you can't just put down the GH controller for an hour a day for a few days, consider just giving the job to someone else. This isn't bitching or complaining either, I'm not very impatient when it comes to this, but if you're getting this many complaints, I'd think it's seriously time to consider passing the role to someone else. |

Yeah, I haven't submitted a file in a really long time, but I'm still able to say something about how long it takes for these files to get judged.
I was alright with Shash's laziness for the first few weeks, because I would have probably done the same thing after months of judging and testing. But I wouldn't take this long to do something... I'm almost wanting to judge the simfiles so this crap can just get caught up, and I REALLY don't want to be playing simfiles when a majority of them are going to be crap. That says a lot, that I'd probably do this now. |

I noticed.
I thought I'd take the time to mention that you would like being a mod. Honestly, it's for the sake of being funny. You always take jokes to seriously. Cool down.

Hope Shash finishes soon, even though it's taking a while. Or maybe we could spread the job between several mods instead of just one. I hope my files get in, I've been working on them for a LONG while. Finished Over The Frail Dream and Venetian Spirit today.

<3's Adriana FFR R1 Simfile Author Multiplayer Mod am i missing something? Regardless, I see FFR right now as being somewhere between in the gray area between one enormous megapack of quality files and a loose assortment of random files such as in the SM community or the Resonance zone. Perhaps we should be releasing fewer files/accepting less of the load. Last edited by ledwix; 05-21-2007 at 07:33 PM.. |
