WHOA. I'm sorry I'm not calling to memory the dozens of teenage pregnancies I have seen in my lifetime and making this some long, "Well, I know this one girl and she did this thing and so I don't think it's a good idea". I'm sorry I'm unsympathetic to children who grew up in the same situation I did and yet somehow ended up catching the short end. I'm sorry you presume that when I call out women who look at abortion as a form of birth control (and some DO) I am talking about all women and girls who fall into the arms and bed of the first man to show her something other than the back of his hand.
No, I don't point and laugh at the females I see pregnant. Want to know why? Most of the pregnant females I see are my students. When I see them, I'm just sad. They're sixteen and a baby is what they want. They don't want to go to college or see the world. They want to have a baby with their eighteen-year-old loser boyfriend. And didn't I JUST SAY there are alternatives to abortion? Why is it that, to you, "alternatives" means, "Suck it up, you fat whore." (Oh, I'm sorry, did I make a generalization about something you said? My bad.) IF a woman becomes pregnant because she knowingly and willfully put herself in a situation that could result in a pregnancy, I do NOT have sympathy if she later realizes she made a mistake. @organism: Hm... I suppose with the case of birth control "accidents" I'll just have to go back to my old argument: The purpose of sex is reproduction. If you are engaging in sex you should and eventually will have to accept that responsibility. If you can't handle that responsibility, you don't have any business having sex. |
