I have this rule set I abide by and it goes like this:
Rule #1: If it smells bad, it'll taste bad. Rule #2: Only break Rule #1 if you're really hungry / thirsty. Sushi, chicken, fish, whatever. They all smell really bad. I won't eat them. I'm fine with beef and pork anyway. I just recently found out that ginger ale isn't disgusting only because I was really thirsty and there was nothing else to drink. It's still really low on my list of drink options, but at least it's something above Diet Coke. I've never even seen sushi in front of me, so it's not like I'm gonna go out of my way to find some. This is a good thing too. Alcohol and cigarettes smell absolutely horrible. I will never indulge in either. |
