can you AAA Str8 2 Vid and get 40 credits??? i FC'd it with 902 step and only got 28 but i had 54 good and 9 aver.

is it just a matter of ur combo? i heard sum1 say that if u get over a 1000 combo, u should get the 40 credits, is that true or just bs

More than likely it's true. You need 2,000,000+ to get 40 credits, a one thousand combo and finishing the song tends to give this 40 credits. Unless you were to get a hell of a lot of boos, which might take you down a bit, but otherwise, yes.

That's why I got 39 credits with a 1:5 good ratio and a 607 combo on Max Forever then, isn't it?

I'm sure you can get 40 credits on Max with good PA and a 600 combo.

I've already stated all the songs that can get 40 credits...

Anyway, there seems to be some debate over how much of a combo you need. It really all depends on your PA.

To get 2 million credits with a certain combo, you need another certain number of perfects. Note that boos don't hurt much, (200 boos are 4000 points. That's 3 perfects in a row!) misses hurt more than a good, and a good is half of a perfect.

Combo/Perfect
500/2750
600/2550
700/2400
800/2200
900/2050
1000/1650
1100/1650
1200/1500
1291/1291
1400/1100
1500/950
1600/750

If your PA is good enough, you can go through most of these songs with only a 700ish combo. MF and Pants are the easiest in this regard, but Pants is quite difficult to get much of a combo going, unless you mash through the tough parts (and then your PA will suffer greatly). If you can mash effectively and get a high combo, you need a much smaller amount of Perfects.

Since MF has 2709 notes, a 40 credits with 600 combo would have to at least be:
P/G/A/M/B/C
2400/304/0/5/0/600
That's a tough PA to achieve (if you can only get a 600 combo).

but one from a while ago i got

2216 Perfects, 377 Goods, 81 Averages, 46 misses, 49 boos, 564 Max Combo

it was only 39 creds that was like 5 months ago so it is pretty easy to get 40 creds

Im pretty sure if you get around a 1000 combo on MAX and dont screw up that bad on the rest, you can get at least 40 credits.
