I let mine stay in too long. Pressure built up in one of them and it cracked it's self right in half. Now I have major problems with the molar that was in front of it. Grr...

When I got mine out, I didn't take any pain meds, cause they made me feel so messed up. I dealt with the pain rather than the crappy feeling from the meds. Don't worry, the pain will go away in a few days, and then it'll hurt to eat for a while but it'll get better. =) Hope you get better super fast!

I just got all 4 of mine out.
It never hurt, and the only meds I'm on right now is penicillin, so it doesn't get infected. *shrugs* I had an easy time, I guess. |

Though, I was on Vicodin at the time and didn't feel too much pain, unless I let my next dose lapse. It was still a pretty miserable experience, partly because the nausea from the drug itself. I almost passed out walking to the bathroom, because I accidentally took a pill 30 min. too early. My body is just too sensitive to certain drugs and usually I try to avoid taking anything. |

I had all four of mine taken out about a year ago. No major complications. I highly recommend getting the full under drugs, the extra cost is worth it. I played Katamari Damacy for a couple of hours after my surgery, and not once did I think "this doesn't make sense".
I was only on the vicodin for a couple of days, and I ate nothing but mashed potatoes for about a week. All in all, I can think of worse fates. |
