I had all four of mine taken out about a year ago. No major complications. I highly recommend getting the full under drugs, the extra cost is worth it. I played Katamari Damacy for a couple of hours after my surgery, and not once did I think "this doesn't make sense".

I was only on the vicodin for a couple of days, and I ate nothing but mashed potatoes for about a week. All in all, I can think of worse fates.
