Auto Fail Button.

do you have that one song you just keep getting that one good or boo, and you just don't know where it is? Me too, that's why I was thinking of a button that gives you options to automatically fail you at where you want it to.

I'm really bad a describing but hopefully you get the picture.

Ok. say your playing a song over and over repeatly. and you keep getting a booflag, blackflag, or worse and you don't know where you get it due to screencutting or not paying attention. There should be a button somewhere in the game, maybe around the q that would bring up an options menu. And would look something like this.

AUTOMATIC FAIL ON:
GOOD- ON/OFF __<number of how many goods you get until you fail
AVERAGE- ON/OFF __<number of averages you get until you fail
MISS- ON/OFF __<number of misses you get until you fail
BOO- ON/OFF __<number of boos you get until you fail
AUTOFAIL- ON/OFF

of course with discussion, you wouldn't automatically fail. so, that's why i put the autofail option on.

People have also discussed about the changing of colors to tell how many G/A/M/B's you have.

not all has to be implemented. but, just more variety for more discussion.

Of course there would be a shade covering the on or off deciding what you want it on.

I don't know flash or anything or how long this would take to implement, but it would be a cool feature to have.

EDIT: just thought of have a option under those to say

KEEP ON- ON/OFF

so that way if your one of those really good people, or one of those people who stay at their level won't have to go into it every time after a song.

I like this idea...A LOT. Implementation of it would allow me to finally increase my screenshrink.

yeah, and to tell you the truth, you're the one that made me think of this idea.
seeing you black/booflag alot of stuff in the ffr score thread. and with me just getting done with two blackflags, i realized something should be done.

This is a great idea, and this can help people improve on that one song they are annoyed with.

I don't think this is necessary. If you find a window that's always on top, and use it to cover up part of the screen, but make it so you can still see your score at the bottom, then it would basically be the same as screenshrinking, except that you'd be able to tell if you got anything that wasn't a perfect, since your score would no longer be divisible by 50 at the bottom. Plus, this would take effort to implement.

Doug, I'll pose a question to you. Do you want to look at your score and check if it's divisible by 50 while playing the song? Thats a lot going on at once.

Also: yes it would take effort to implement, but thats true for everything. There's no point for even having a suggestion board if Synth (*Edit* or Jason) wanted to say "Nope, takes effort, don't wanna do it".

It's more just seeing if you have a 5 at the end or not.

That'd be pretty nice, but since I play down anyway, I know when I get a good, so I just boo out ... but it'd be nice for those who play up.

Did you even read the post? There's a large section explaining a menu option and how to get it up.

I like the idea but I wouldn't use it.

Yes, I read it. I wasn't completely sure whether it would be finalized as the "Q" button or not. I assumed he'd give the finalized suggestion with definitive answers and details.
