Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament Round 1!
The more I play Retro City the more obvious it becomes that Razor didn't really know what was going on in the middle of the song. In addition, it's terrible to listen to, so replays are frustrating. I would probably have 12-15 AAA's on it if the middle color diarrhea wasn't so ctrl+r.

If I can troll and get this: (skip to 1:28)
It means Razor did it right. When the trills are too slow you simply need to compensate by taping keys harder so you're slower too. You can also focus on one arrow of each trill to keep an eye on relative distance between each arrow. I still agree that it's not an usual pattern that can be deal with reflexes alone. I can never tell how hard a file is just by watching a replay

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament Round 1!
The trills don't bother me, I LOVE that section
I only think the very middle color stuff is ctrl+r, and I don't mean it literally anyway. The file IS well done for the most part.

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament Round 1!
After seeing the video I am optimistic about next round (D4), as I seem to do well on multicolored arrow/burst type songs. I am just terrified of having another "Iced Innocence" type of moment where I play way below my level after mindblocking an easy section.
Also, I finally started a tournament log here. I'm running a fun little contest but you'll have to check the log for more info |

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament Round 1!
Honestly, watching that, that REALLY should have been 3-0-0-1 if not better, I got 2 goods in the slow midsection with the white/green arrows -.-

Re: 8th Official FFR Tournament Round 1!
Unless there's a hard part you're not showing me, I think I can probably AAA again in D1.
Glad I'm not in D3, though. Bouncy/galloping rhythms tend to throw me off, no pun intended. D4: Sonic 3 FTW! |
