Round 4
D1: Bicycle Break D2: Less Talk More Rokk (Mark Saunders Remix) D3: Rise Up D4: Christmix 2014 D5: Bubble Bath Aftermath D6: Little God Ch@nnel D7: The Ordeal Becomes Great D8: Blackmagik Blazing Sponcon A lot of time was grinded in the two sponcons from last round. Perhaps so much so that some players may have forgotten what the end-goal was. It's okay though. I'm here to help you get back on track. In this sponcon, your task is to submit a passing score on FFR on what your favorite song/stepfile combination and describe why you picked your submission. This can come from any of the other engines outside of FFR's if you so choose. Complete this task and receive 4,000 credits! There won't be a competition this time. You've got a long song to play this round and you'll need to use your energy this round to conquer it. This round will end on Monday, September 21st at 11:59 Server Time

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
Should also mention this is a FFR sponcon, so submit it like you would a regular tournament submission.
PS. Sponcons for Round 3 will hard-close when the clock strikes midnight. Anything posted later will not be accepted.

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
Seeing how Nikita got a blackflag on an 87 today, I'm assuming I'll have to AAA this to stay tied with him. Might be able to pull it off, but it's definitely gonna be a rough ride for the rest of the tourney. |

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
For the round 4 sponcon, one of my favorite files/songs currently in FFR is Spaceman by Kola Kid, with the stepfile by Kommisar. As to why, I'm a bit of a sucker for chiptune styled music, specifically when it's more on the melodic end. (A big part of that is from all the gaming I did growing up.) The file is fun as hell for me to play, and it's one of the few where I play it just for the sake of playing it.

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
Pretty unhappy with this, but FFR doesn't seems to be my friend with stability atm. I'll try to look into it.
spon: Pretty simple reason here. I think it's a good warm up song. Having issues for getting a good score unfortunately. Last edited by Hakulyte; 09-18-2020 at 08:02 AM.. |

Pretty dissapointed, not gonna lie...was getting 9g runs before this and aaaing the long one hand trill part every run. Literally got the good on the note right after it lol
Not playing again probably. That left jacky part is so hard

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
hitting the big peeb on the first try in months. possible sdg?
as for the sponcon, Mathsma Attack has always been one of the first songs that got me into Blitz Lunar, and chiptune as a whole (specifically this kind of energetic chiptune that strikes a balance between melodic flow and erratic bleep bloops and other noises. The chart does the song justice in alot of ways that I love, keeping the energy from start to end and even before I started being able to play it well, I found myself playing it alot and loving what kommisar did to make it what it is. It's one of the only three 90+ charts I have over 500 plays on, the others being J'ai Envie de Plaisir X2 (nowhere near a favorite, i just grinded it many times) and 12 Bar Bloops. 9 years later, I still find myself constantly playing it.

Re: badman7772's Tournament of Hopelessness
I had to spend a good amount of time on this one, but it paid off once I studied a few of the parts I was inconsistent on. (Mainly how one of the jump jack patterns transitioned out.) Going into this tournament, I saw my potential at a 79 AAA limit if I put in a lot of work. Glad to be pushed to that! Last edited by XJ-9; 09-18-2020 at 03:50 PM.. |
