Switching Fingers is Awkward
Posted on: May 22, 2020, at 10:42:56pm   [1 comment]
Ok, so I've always played using my middle and ring fingers when playing whatever I do, up until recently I've had literally no problems with playing anything I do, but as of recent it just felt like my fingers have been tensing up a lot more than normal so I've finally decided to switch to using my index and middle fingers whilst playing. It feels very weird since I have played for over a year with the ring finger and it's also weird doing things I could have done easily but with lower acc. Decided to not play in the tournament to see if I could actually try to push myself to be better than I was with my middle and ring fingers. Currently been able to do light jumpstreams at 180, and various chordjack maps and that's mainly been it for me. Hoping to see myself get past this physical barrier so I can finally get better scores overall. That's all for my vent for now :)

WoW oNe YeAr

Most of that time I have not played FFR so I find that to be funny. I'd probably say that 1 year would actually be Halloween for me so wait until then for something cool

Stay At Home Tournament Thoughts

Alright, since I'm now eliminated, thought I'd do my opinions on the maps for the first tournament I have participated in, so here it goes.

-Division 4-

Round 1: Dolphin Talk - This was a pretty simple map for me, I had gotten an AAA in about 30 mins of playing the map, overall was pretty fun.

Round 2A: Tougenkyou - This was also pretty chill of a map, took about the same time to get an AAA.

-Division 5-

Round 2B: Papyrus's Adventure - By this point I had decided to go push my skill level, and in the end of round 1, I was level 73, compared to level 63 when I started the tournament. So it was pretty much expected I would go up a division. I was pretty happy with that. The map though, I wasn't a fan of, it had a variety of weird parts in it for me that I just couldn't do as of then. At least I was able to get an SDG.

Round 3: Men & Machines: This was a map I had gotten an SDG on about a day before the tournament announced it as the map, so I just decided to go ahead and AAA. This was a pretty straightforward map and was fun to play.

Round 4: Swamp Thing: One of my favorite new maps to come out as of recent. It was a mix of fun mapping, a fun song, good sync, it had all just come together. So I played through it quite a few times just to get a score I was satisfied with.

Sound 5: Beware the Purple Water: Yeah... this map. I didn't have much time to play this round, plus when I did play, the map just wasn't fun at all. It had just kept getting on my nerves as the sixtuplets in the middle were just flat out annoying to get. I could do the beginning and end pretty much fine, it was the sixtuplets that had caused me to lose by the insanely small gap that was 40 points. Oh well.

Overall, this tournament had been fun to play in, and I feel pretty good since it was my first tournament in this game. I guess now I'm just gonna start ironing out all my skills to get ready for the Official Tournament over the summer.
