if you know you can hit 40-50 goods then it's easier to tank 20-28 misses early on and just count your score from there at the final 30 notes. Takes a little mini calculations though...
Count raw score total and going backward; -60 points for a miss, -5 for a boo (Assuming you're deciding whether you need more goods or flat misses, if you ever get an Average -45 just remember 1 boo ties it up to a -50 which is equal to 2 good equivalent). I generally aim for the 50good 35miss 1boo margin but then I start hitting averages while forcing the goods and it becomes a bunch of mental calculations to figure out how many more misses I need to even up.
I swear these challenges are a lot easier for people in higher divisions.
