Kjwkjw's New Year's Credit Giveaway 3: The Lucky Three
What do you mean, "New Year"? It's like, July... Err, nope! I don't know about you, but this year has certainly flown by for me, and we're down to our last couple of weeks for 2013. In keeping up with this rather new tradition, I'm doing another credit giveaway to celebrate! I've put 200k up for grabs back in 2010 and 400k last year; how does a minimum of 500,000 credits this time sound? =D Alright, cool! How do I get my credits enter for the drawing? This year I've added a fun little twist to guessing! To be entered for the drawing, simply post your lucky three FFR songs of difficulty 60~95, inclusive, as well as the total notecount for them. I'm aware that difficulties can change and new songs may be added, so only the songs that fit the requirement at the time of this post will count. Don't worry—you can check below for a list of all of these songs. If you're not a veteran and can't check the notecount of a song through levelranks, you can use the level previews on the corresponding song's levelstats page, which can be accessed here (or you could just give the song a quick run and enjoy some keysmashing while you're at it!). Alrighty, what then? Soon after the deadline (Tuesday, December 31, 2013 @ 11:59:59 PM server time), I will use the random feature on the R^3 engine to draw three different songs from the list above. The total notecount of these songs will be the winning number! The closer the total notecount of your songs is to the winning number, the more credits you will win! Total prize pot: 2,000,000!!! If your guess is within sixth to the tenth closest, you'll win 25,000 credits. And the payouts for the top 5 closest guesses are: 5th: 100,000 credits 4th: 200,000 credits 3rd: 350,000 credits 2nd: 500,000 credits 1st: 725,000 credits! In case of ties (i.e. two or more people were off by the same amount), the higher prizes will go out to the earlier guessers - so be sure to get those posts in ASAP! I will be updating a list of current guesses as to help you folks not post the same choice of songs. Note that your totals CAN be the same as another person's, but your three songs CANNOT all be the same. Please note that you're allowed one set of songs, and once you're on the list, your guess is final! Wait, what's the point of making us guess songs if only notecount matters? I'm glad you asked. It's because the winners (the top 10 closest guessers) will automatically get a chance to win bonus credits! For any of these folks, if they match one song from the three that I draw, they'll win an additional 5,000 credits. If they match two, they'll win 50,000 more. And if by some amazing chance the first place winner had guessed THE three songs that are drawn... they'll win ONE MILLION credits. No joke. (The odds of this happening are 1 in 36,361,101 though. Wafu! >w<) Is there an entrance fee? Nuh-uh, same as last year. Just post in the thread and you're good to go! However, I very much appreciate donations—if you're feeling generous and want to add to the prize pot, please let me know in this thread or via PM, so I can add you to a list of awesome donators and adjust prizes accordingly.
