FFR QUIDDITCH
WORLD CUP

It's that time of year folks; when all of their hard work, perserverance, and commitment pushes them to the top of the pedestals; when, amidst injury, fatigue and very sneaky Snitches resulting in days-long matches, they continue on; where even the worst of the best shall have their moment of glory, for they made it here! It's the 1st Annual FFR Quidditch World Cup!



BASIC RULES

-There are 8 Countries in the Finals: Ireland, Spain, Bulgaria, Norway, Poland, Sweden, England, and Germany

- Each team will play each other once each, resulting in seven 3-day rounds

- The two teams with the best records 7 rounds will advance to the World Cup Championship, where the snitch is caught to end the entire competition. The next 2 best will play in the World Cup Consolation Match, where 3rd Place will be determined.

- People will say "in" and what position they're going for, and the Sorting Hat will determine which team you will be on (i.e., i'll put all the names in a hat and draw the teams)

- Of these teams, there are four positions which each have there own responsibilty on their team. The amounts of each position there are on one team are as follows :
> 3 Chasers (Standard --> Difficult[R5])
> 2 Beaters (Very Difficult --> Challenging[R5])
> 1 Keeper (Challenging --> Very Challenging[R6])
> 1 Seeker (Very Challenging --> FMO[R7])

The song difficulties will VERY gradually increase for each position until a specific Round, where it will then jump up to the latter difficulty mentioned. PLEASE don't request a position if you think you haven't even a small chance to AAA the songs involved.



SCORING SYSTEM

Chasers
1st = 60 pts.
2nd = 50 pts.
3rd = 40 pts.
4th = 30 pts.
5th = 20 pts.
6th = 10 pts.

Beaters
1st = 60 pts.
2nd = 40 pts.
3rd = 20 pts.
4th = 10 pts.

Keepers
1st = 60 pts.
2nd = 30 pts.

Seekers
If Snitch is caught
AAA = 150 pts.
2nd = 50 pts.

If Snitch is not caught
1st = 100 pts.
2nd = 50 pts.


In the event of ties between scores, people with the same score will get the same points, and any others below get what the placement says they get. Here's an example:

Chaser1 (AAA) 60 pts
Chaser2(AAA) 60 pts
Chaser3(1) 40 pts
Chaser4(3) 30 pts
Chaser5(3) 30 pts
Chaser6(7-1-0-1) 10 pts





SPECIAL ABILITIES

***1 Goal = 10 pts.***

Seeker: Match Stop - Obviously, once a Seeker AAA's his song, the match immediately stops and no other scores may be submitted. The Seeker's song is released 24 hours later than the Main Songs so other teammates get the chance to score (or block)

Keeper: Team Rally - For every AAA on the Keeper's team, he may block 1 goal from the other team.

Beaters: Double Team - If a Beater has an equal or better score than the best opposing Chaser, he can block 1 goal from the other team.

Chasers: *Team* Formation - If a Chaser has a better score than the opposing Keeper, 1 extra goal is added to their score.

**For the Chasers, their formation is dependent on their country. Ireland would have a "Celtic Formation", Germany would have a "Blitzkrieg Formation", Spain would have a "Toro Formation", etc. **



FORM OF SUBMISSIONS
When you submit a song for the tournament, there's a very nice little process you can take that has kept things in the past flowing nice and smoothly. Just follow these steps!

-When you think you have a score you want to submit, take a screenshot of it and post it in the thread. Here are the steps for taking a screenshot:
1. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. If you're using a Mac, I believe the input is Command+Shift+3. The command button is the apple.
2. Go into Paint (Start>Programs>Accessories) or another imaging program and hit Ctrl+V
3. Save the SS on your computer
4. Go to an image hosting site, such as Photobucket, ImageShack, or Xs.to (my favorite)) and upload the SS.
5. Post the image in this thread

-As always, you can submit as many SS's as you want, but I will accept the last one as your Round score. If it's accidentally worse than before, you better fix it fast!
