This is like the perfect man movie: excessive nudity/sex scenes, exaggerated gore, and kickass battle sequences. I've never been more into a movie than 300: my heart was pounding and I literally was on the edge of my seat. This movie surpassed all the hype that I had while walking in and I give this movie 5/5 by far. "Why do the women walk as equals with your men?" "Because we give birth to REAL men." Mu ha ha ha.
The theater I was at all "Oooh"ed at that part. lol

I COMPLETELY agree. I saw this movie today and it was amazing. My heart was pounding especially fast when that huge monster/human thing was attacking the king, that was awesome.

I recommended this movie for ANYONE! Nudity, extreme violence, and amazing battle scenes. Not 1 part of the movie I disliked.

5/5.

The only issue I'd have with getting to see the movie is the nudity. Nudity in movies=no with parents.

Will it be less climatic if I just see it on DVD?

Well I saw it in IMAX and it was breathtaking. I personally don't think a DVD could compare to seeing it on the big screen.

The first battle scene where everything was in slow motion.. that was like the coolest thing EVAR!

And also the part where they find all the dead villagers in the tree.. amazing!

I thought the Spartans final stand against the Persians was the most powerful moment in the movie.

I just saw it, I give it a 7/10, it was basically 2 hours of well thought out fight scenes. But there wasn't enough character development...

SPOILER!!!!!

When the captain's son got his head chopped off, I didn't even feel bad for him or his father, if they had developed those characters more it would have been a more powerful scene.

END SPOILER!!!

Still a great movie though, would recommnend anyone to go see it in theatres.

Saw it today and it was pretty good...I suggest you see it while you can at the big screen.

When it comes to the cheap seats I am going to watch it again. XD

Don't waste your time. Listen to Guido.

300 was 9000% extreme-ness. Seriously didn't expect it to be that good.

Mmm... History. The 300 Spartans were killed on the third day. Kind of how it went in real life. Except there were Hippolates there and Thespians, but they either ran away or surrendered and were slaughtered pretty bad.

I liked how it was so... pretty.

That sounds kind of stupid considering it was a bloody action-packed war movie, but considering its comic origins I think they did a bang-up job. Every shot in that movie would have made a nice piece of art in itself.

I wanted to see it in IMAX, and thought I'd be able to since there is one right by my college, but sadly it wasn't in there yet. :/ Maybe it'll come someday and I'll go see it again.

OK.. Sooo I'm in Canada and i was waiting on this movie for a good couple months, so it has nothing to do with that! and yes.. Super epic, and pretty much best movie of all times. see it if you can.
