Color Game

Random little game my friend found online. You've got to pick as many tiles you can that are just slightly off color, in 1min.
I'm curious what people can get. I got to level 46

After a few plays I've been getting to levels between 30 and 35, highest level I got to was 41

I can't get past like 15-18. It all looks exactly the same to me even if I squint.

I'm not color blind or anything but I can't see any differences. lmao

There is an interesting illusion that is taking place if you did not notice it. On those darker colors, if you look inbetween the squares, there looks like there are black dots inbetween them, but if you try to look at them, they disappear.

Edit: okay 30 is my limit. (pro tip: if you tilt the screen forward, it makes some of the shade differences easier to notice)

I zoomed out to make it easier to see all the squares at once. That's the trick, to see it all at once and never actually look for the odd square. Stare into the middle of the field and never follow the cursor, or you'll start focusing on one section of the field and miss a change that occurs outside of it. Big color changes can be difficult. Near-black and bold colors give me trouble, and the lighter ones seem to be the easiest. So, luck is a pretty big factor.

I can get into the 40s every time barring anything silly in the 30s like this (this is the size that I play at):



My best is 58. Had been trying to get to 60, because that's a nice milestone.

Took me a while to notice that it has a counter in the upper-left corner. Sometimes those near-black ones would come up in the 20s and be harder than anything in the 30s.

But yeah, thanks for the link; this is pretty neat! Would be really cool if it tracked how well you did with different hues and shades at different difficulty levels.
