Re: 10th Official Tournament Fundraiser Discussion
If there are a lot of US addresses, ship all the US coins to one trusted person in the US and have them ship them out from here. It'll save you a lot of money in the long run.
If no one else is willing, I'll do it. I have access to bulk shipping materials from my online Pokemon sales.Comment

Re: 10th Official Tournament Fundraiser Discussion
there's alot more event staff than just prawnskunk
I'm pretty sure most of the higher ups prefer this stuff stays with the staff, not saying anyone's not trustworthy or anything.Comment

Re: 10th Official Tournament Fundraiser Discussion
I'd rather the staff do it, obviously. Less effort on my part is better.
But it was portrayed as if a single Canadian was having to pay extremely elevated prices to ship these out one by one. The intent of the post was to point out a common sense solution in the event that there was a large number of US coins to ship. The offering in the event that absolutely no one else would do it was to qualify the post, because people that throw out solutions but won't do anything to see them implemented are less valuable than those willing to see them out.Comment

Sending the tokens to be distributed within the US is a less favorable option. For example, there are approximately 50 of 90 tokens being shipped to the US:I'd rather the staff do it, obviously. Less effort on my part is better.

50 tokens @ $1.80/stamp via. Canada Post to US = $90 CDN
6 lbs. parcel shipped to nearest US event staff member = $50 CDN, plus..
50 tokens @ $0.91/stamp via. USPS within US = ...an additional $45 US, inconvenience for everyone involved, and expect delays. Even if my numbers are a bit off, I am convinced that Canada Post is the best option.
edit: On this note, I will be sending out all 90 tokens this week!

Yes. I have 100 tokens in total. The remaining 10 tokens are reserved for anything from spontaneous contest rewards, to door prizes for the upcoming official tournament.Last edited by PrawnSkunk; 04-22-2014, 01:58 AM.Comment

Thank you for your offer! However, international letter-mail is actually rather affordably priced
