I can't even get on team SRL -.-
I guess I should race more. I usually only do independent runs.
btw, stream link in my signature if you wanna follow I'd love you eternally~

Yea, I'll definitely try to get into more races now that I'm more consistent/confident in my general gameplay. It's also fun to beat people with controllers .
I can beat Megaman X in under 1 hr (50 minutes is about as fast as I can go). I used to practice that one a LOT. X2 I can beat under an hour as well but barely.
I have a save in Final Fantasy 7 at the bottom of Northern Crater @ 8:58, which is probably my best RPG run. I don't know how fast people have gone, but I put a lot of time into that one (it's pretty much a minimum level run since I never level up anywhere ever other than exp from bosses)
Final Fantasy 9 -> Excalibur 2 in 11 hours. I didn't put as much effort into this. Sub 10 hours is probably completely possible, I leveled up a bit in a couple spots just to make things easier for myself, but it's mostly not necessary since I abuse limit glove basically, very overpowered.
P.s. first post could have streamers + games they run mebbe
I'll edit them in if you bastards would link 'em. Plus there's already a stream thread in FFR Events.
As for my experiences with speedrunning...meh, still noob at it. Can't even get under 7h30m on Pokemon Ruby (Wattson and Norman can suck 37 dicks each)
I don't really do speedruns, but reading this thread is making me want to try something with PS2 Shinobi. Probably can't put together a great start-to-finish run, but could probably get a fantastic level time sum with a lot of retries.
But yeah I like watching people do them and I'm impressed with the optimization, but I don't like playing games to see how much of them I can skip, with the exception of games that are explicitly about that: minesweeper, Mario Kart, etc.
I broke out my XBL Arcade copy of Hydro Thunder Hurricane last night. Somehow pulled a sub-1:52 out of my ass on Storming Asgard Gauntlet. That shit is hard as hell to optimize because there's a whole bunch of swells after the first checkpoint that eat through your boost gauge. 1:50 might be possible if I learn how to do the home stretch.

I used to run Mega Man X as well. My best recorded time on an old PC for X2 was around 46:30 D;
