1) Will there be any say in song choice? Not to be picky or anything but for example if there is a particular song I really hate I would refuse to step it and lose interest.

2) Any chance of getting something with variable BPM as a bonus? I dunno how to synch those unless the BPM is precisely specified at every point.

1) The OP said you'll be put into a group. Which one you're in determines what song you'll be stepping for the contest. AFAIK we have no say in what song we're getting.

2) The file you will use to create a notechart for the song will already be presynced, I think.

1) I know what the OP says. I was asking a specific question that I do not feel the OP covers. If you do not know then no reason to say anything and I can wait for Kayla's response.

2) Yes the files are synched for us. I was saying that is a bonus toward motivation to chart them. The reason I asked about variable BPM songs is because if someone else is synching it for me I would love to step something with variable BPM.

Ooh I think I wanna give this a try even though I am still almost brand new to stepping. Having a pre-synched song is definitely good motivation. Just a couple questions before I commit though:

No you don't have a choice of song. The whole group you're in will be stepping the same song. Part of the challenge is possibly stepping something you might not normally step.
I don't know if any of the songs have varying bpm yet, haven't done the .sm for them yet.

I'd rather have a slightly biased judge than deal with the community vote

It's not going to be just one or two. Actually what I was talking to JX about was having a group of the actual FFR judges narrow the selections in each group down to 3 - 5 of the best files (based on objective things as much as possible) Then have another group of people that are not normally judges but have a basic knowledge vote on those top files to determine winners in each group.

Edit: I normally do community vote when I do stepwars on DF, but being that FFR is a much larger scale I think having the judges go through would be better. It may not even be just FFR judges, I may recruit a few others.

Edit 2: I should also note that judges will not know which files belong to whom. It will be anonymous to keep out any bias.

I did not mean whether I get a choice in song, just hoping that if I happen to get a song I utterly hate (unlikely) that I could veto it and do a different one. Anyhoo, I am in.
