Well, what do you want to optimize really?
Your mobo has 3 pci-e 16x slots, so you could always chuck another 460 in there, 750 watts gives you plenty of room to do that.

Yes, it might be better to up that 550 ti to a 560 ti, I own a 560 ti myself, and it already does not feel very futureproof (like, in over a year from now) for ultra settings on 1680x1050.

That sounds like a VBR track, transcode it into CBR and stepmania should not go offsync when you start the song in the middle using the editor.

Standalone doesn't make any difference in this case, neither does gamebooster (it's useful for everything else though :P)

A little odd problem I'm having here...

Every now and then FFR seems to get stuck in some sord of low-fps mode, where it looks like FFR is running at around 5-10fps, a little comparable to putting...

Damn this song is a pain, I keep getting miss+boo and then a perfect in the longer "jacks" all the time, the trills don't improve my score either...I got like 50 perfs there
