    My Acura Integra: 1995-2009 R.I.P.

I left my poor car in my high school parking lot over the weekend while I was at my dad's house.

Last night, we had a freak storm and the parking lot flooded, as did my four-door Acura. We towed it to my house and now we're going to try to bring it back to life after it dries out, but it really doesn't look good for me.

The water rose up to about the steering wheel, and the computers for the car are under the seats. That's bad news for me.
The only sparkle of hope I have is that the engine and battery managed to somehow stay above the water, which just might be enough to save this car.

We're going into operation now. Wish me luck.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Much Later Edit:

    Holy ****!

My mom found a picture of my car submerged! It's the one labeled "Carrollton High School Parking Lot."

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Another Edit:

My car on the front page of a local news website!

If you think there is still some hope why did you put the r.i.p and the 2009. If you want to revive your car you need to try to be a little positive.

It's an integra, if you cant find parts in the junkyard to bring that to life then it was a 'deserved' death.

I said that cause it kind of is dead. We're trying to bring it back from the grave. Either way, you're absolutely right about my needing to be more positive.
Looks like we'll do it tomorrow, seeing as the schools are closed with all of the flooding.

Sorry to hear! I have a lot of friends who lost their precious cars in the flood last night. A few families we know are without transportation completely, even some had the roads in their neighborhoods washed out.

We're looking at a 1990 civic right now, haha. We don't get much for storms so I'd be fine. Sorry to hear about that though, I like Integras.

I accidentally drove my truck into Galveston Bay. I didn't know what time was high tide. At least you didn't salt water in your car.

                        Cause that makes sense.

Anyway, try frying your entire ****ing starter because you're a retard who likes to put cardboard in front of the radiator during winter to get more heat and leaves it there 3 years later. Whoops.

lol im currently enrolled into an night course for automotive design. I'm also a diesel mechanic for the national guard. Your wiring system is ****ed, well every electrical system is. Your engine should be fine. Your going to have to rip apart the block and replace alot of ****. Don't you have insurance man? actually, You shouldn't have to replace anything in the engine @_@ You're going to need new wiring kits though. Unless you find the same car that needs a engine for like 400$ then just take your motor and throw it in there. If i was near you i could do it with you. Unfortunately i'm too far away.

A friend of mine recently had to get rid of his '91 Mustang because the electrical system when out (among other things, but that was the major factor).

Ehh... if all else fails, get a Prelude.

The motor and battery are, indeed, intact.

Of course, we still haven't turned on any electricity in the car, as that would further **** it up. In any case, we managed to get a good bit done tonight.

Tomorrow's when the real fun begins.
