    The Supreme Court has made necrophilia illegal

    Yup, that's right, the American supreme court has ruled having sex with a dead body is illegal.

    Now, despiste the morality of this situation, will this really be effective? I don't think so. Does making murder illegal stop people from killing? No. Does making rape illegal stop rapists from... Raping? No. Does making drugs illegal stop junkies from selling/buying them? No. Drinking and driving. Carrying weapons. Wearing your seat belt. Larsony. You get my point.

    Why am I telling you this? Well, I want to hear what FFR has to say. Personally, I think drugs and prostitution should be legal. I do not morally support either, but what would organized crime do without crime to organize? It would cut back on so many things.


    P.S. I posted this here because it's not really CT material, and more people visit CC so can offer their opinion. Move it if you wish.

      ... I didn't know that necrophilia was ever legal, that's sick. Good thing it's illegal now but I do see your point it's not going to stop it, at all. I do agree with the prostitution part though, if women or men want to offer their body for money they should have the right to do so and of course the people who would pay for it.

          Well one, I hate drugs with all my heart, they are a waste of time and I have no business in trying them, therefore I wont. Regarding the OP, they should be legal though. this is only for the soul purpose that , yes it brings new job opportunities (lawl) and it would bring down crime, somewhat. Prostitution, I hate whores, not just the ones who get money, any girl who just does everything they want with any guy. I also hate ones who get money but that is besides the fact. I hate them as in I would never have and physical contact with them. Prostituting one's body doesn't bring crime in the first place, so that would in no way cause anything to decrease. Now, necrofilia is a total different story, why did they make it illegal? It's just a fetish like any other person would have, being beaten, punched, cut, tied up blah blah, they have stores to buy all that crap and houses for that stuff (dominatrix or how every you spell it), why can't they have like a walmart for necrofiliacs to buy their favorite body?

              Well now that I thought about it, your right, necrophilia is a fetish but the people who are dead are most likely not consenting so it is rape which is, as we all know, illegal.

                  Emo Saur, I've never met another person who felt the same way as I do about drugs and prostitution, in the sense of morality. However, logically, it'd cut down on organized crime rates. I can't fathom why one would have sex with a dead body (especially if it was a girl on a guy...) but, nonetheless, it's pointless to make something illegal that's going to happen anyway.

                                  I am assuming he means the Supreme Court ruled that necrophilia is not protected by the Constitution, although I can't imagine that being a landmark ruling or a new case.

                                      Thank you, Guido. And I know they can't make the laws, I thought about it after how I should have said they declared it. Came to a decision. You know what I mean.

                                      As for a link, I heard it on the news. The point of the thread was what the OP refers to, not so much the prohibition of necrophilia.

                                              I think necrophilia is wrong, don't support it, but seriously the government is starting to control a lot more in the US.

                                              Example, I'm looking forward to being 14 - I can finally get a permit to drive a personal watercraft.

                                                  Are they allowing 14 year olds with permits already to keep them? If so, that sucks for you, since you're just approaching 14.

                                                      The WISCONSIN supreme court made this ruling, not the federal one.

                                                      It's still just a misdemeanor in Texas.

                                                          I think it is disgusting too, but who ire understands my point? Making all there things illegal that they'll never be able to prevent is stupid. No matter how many penalties are against murder, it still happens. No matter how many penalties are against drugs, they still happen. Prostitution. I mean, agreed, necrophilia, prostitution, murder, and drugs are all morally wrong. But using the law to enforce such petty things as prostitution and necsophilia is sturd. It won't stop. At all.
