    Rah Xephon

    Not sure how many else here have actually ventured outside of Naruto, but this was a really cool anime for me to watch. Essentially it's like Evangelion for the 2000's, and proved to grab my interest much more by throwing in a harem as a sidestory.

    The mecha series is starting to grow on me wtf

      My older brother gave a DVD of this to my dad as a present, but I haven't watched it yet. What's the basic plot?

                      It's good that you mentioned that it's just like Eva. I didn't understand Eva either.

                      This show kicked off my disgust at mecha anime, which is why I disliked Eureka SeveN. It made no sense, but it made no sense WITH GIANT ROBOTS.

                          Rah Xephon's movie (Which is essentially the same as some of the episodes, just generally squeezed together, I believe.) was amazing. I was satisfied watching that, and would definitely watch it again.

                              A couple of years ago I made a thread about RahXephon.

                              The first 10 episodes of RahXephon are horrible in the sense that they are almost identical to Evangelion. But, episodes 11-26 are awesome (the movie was...alright). I have a high regard for both Evangelion and Rah Xephon.

                              Oh, and Squeek, just because it isn't spelled out doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

                                  I didn't like the show that much because of its similarities to Eva. It is a good show, but I personally don't like it.
                                  There is a 50% chance your pillow will eat you while you are sleeping.

                                      Eureka Seven made loads of sence lol. It just took 51 episodes for all ends to meet.

                                          I still have no idea what the heck caused the summer(s) of love. I have no idea what they even were. I have no idea why Eureka walked into a tree and why that was bad. I have no idea why she almost died from doing it. I have no idea why it was a big deal. I have no idea why renton was tripping in that house.

                                          Things pile up and I stop caring about it to like the show anymore.

                                                  But dude! Don't tell me you stopped there!? You were like a couple of episode away from awesome time. Although I do see what you mean. Renton tripping in that house was very EVA like. I didn't like that part. There was like a 10 episode stretch of gayness because of Eureka. Anyway I could tell you what The 2nd Summer of Love is and why the tree is bad in a nut shell. Although It's best to watch it yourself. I found sometimes you had to take the rough with the smooth. In the end and overall, I found the show brilliant.

                                                      I still have absolutely no idea.

                                                      I'm not the kind of person who watches a show to figure out what happens next. I don't analyze anime. If they don't TRY to explain it to me or help me at all, I won't get it. Heck, I didn't even realize the biblical ties in Evangelion until someone told me.

                                                          Your told flat out what those things are. You must of missed that bit or something. I think there are only one or two big things that you need to piece together yourself.
