      ITG, SM songs, game soundtracks. "Trance/Techno trash" Has anyone ever told you your music sucks? I'm at school listening to my ipod and some people come over and ask to look at it. I'm like "sure, whatever." "Dude you listen to crap. Get some real music." (Rap hip-hop, whatever that shit is) This happens so much. If mu music sucks so much, why care? This is just what I like to listen to. Anyway, sorry for thread hijack, it just lead to my rant.

              Various Video Game soundtracks (including FFVII, FFX, Bemani Games)
              Orange Range (my host sister in Japan gave me two of their albums)

                          I don't like telling people I like electronic music because they call it techno. Then I explain to them that instead of techno, they should say electronic music, which techno is just a part of. They just say yeah whatever you are in denial techno boy.

                          I got a prodigy CD the other day and my coworker saw it and said I listen to weird music. Whatever, I think the music that most people listen to is weird. At least electronic music is original in more senses than all these one hit wonder pop-rock bands I keep seeing. I'm sorry, I get tired of drums+guitar+singer. Anyways, they're stupid. Excuse me while I go listen to Kraftwerk and DnB.

                              That will happen everywhere you go. If you like something they don't, then you suck. Personally, I listen to a lot of trance with a mix of punk. The trance people will be like wtf mainstream and the punk people will be like wtf ******. I just ignore it.

                                      I can't really think of any bands that I say that I like and people give me weird looks for it.
                                      But when I say genres, people say i listen to wierd stuff. I told a few kids in my class i listen to indie and they're all like what?

                                          For my Mass Media class I played some Bogdan Raczynski for an assignment. People thought the CD was skipping. And they laughed when I told them it was Intellegent Dance Music.

                                                          I only listen to video game OSTs (these used to be the only music I listened to for around 3 years), electronic music, and assorted weird stuff, with a bit of prog rock (see?). I don't admit this to people in real life because it's a hassle of going through the whole "omg thats so weird lol" thing, since most people are total morons who think rap/pop/rock are valid genres.
