I tend to hate endings that don't go anywhere.

The ending to that show made me actually want to write my own ending. I have never had to conclude a show with my own thought processes before.

And that is why it got the worst ending. I had about two dozen questions that I expected the show to answer for me in the end, and they failed. Instead, they just decided to throw in some useless filler and explain nothing.

Oh, so now I have to read a book to get a clear understanding of what should have been revealed in the anime.

No thanks. If they had just NOT decided to stop after the useless filler and explain a few things (AKA: What was the world, why were certain people given those attributes, what was "going over the wall", what was the point of the Renmei, etc), I would have loved the show even more. It was a great show, don't get me wrong. I watched it all in 4 hours because I was so intrigued. However, without a fitting conclusion to solve the questions the viewer has, the ending fails, and, as such, it deserves to be the worst ending I have ever seen. No other show has had such a terrible ending. Even Inuyasha's ending was better, and there WAS NO ENDING.

I'm just saying, if you read the book Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, most of your questions will be answered. Though the World in the book, known as "The End of the World" differs from the World in Haibane Renmei, it will give you a hint as to what the writers were going for. Besides, even without reading the book, the ending of Haibane Renmei is so open, you could really put any conclusion you want. You know no more than the main character. You are seeing everything for the first time just as she is. Tha's the pace of the story. Your questions remain unanswered because she doesnt know the answers either.

You say the ending even inspired you to write your own conclusion. Probably paying homage to how the writers of Haibane Renmei felt inspired after reading the book Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World.

I'm not trying to convince you that Haibane Renmei doesnt deserve the worst ending award. I'm trying to convince you to read Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World because it is an awesome book that I believe you will appreciate.

Coolest Moment - "Big O, FINAL STAGE!"
Creepiest Moment - In the 12 episode of Paranoia Agent, there's this shot of Lil' Slugger as a massive, evil wolf-like thing after it smashes a car. It's freaking creepy.
Moment That Just Floored You - I didn't watch Rurouni Kenshin much, but I always enjoy the almost ritualistic moments where the hero is getting his butt whooped until he cleverly turns the tides of battle and wins.
Best Ending - Any show that ends with a "reset" of events.

Aside from that, none of them are hawt. When I was thinking of one for sexiest, I thought I would use the one who just wanted sex the most. And I thought if I put the teacher in DearS in there, people would think I was weird.
