1) I said Knives just because I was thinking of Legato myself. Not that he's the most evil, but I can't think of who is.

2) That question really doesn't make sense. Is it a love interest to the viewer or to another person in the show? I don't know. Kilga thought it was to the viewer and others thought it was to the show. I just left it blank.

You don't have to jack off to anime characters to recognize the fact that they look good.

GutsMan wants her badly too but he sucks at hiding it and usually gets smacked for his efforts.

EDIT: The last few Ultimate Girls episodes were released today and I just watched them, so I guess the never-gonna-get-finished distinction now goes to Futakoi Alternative.

Legato was so unbelievably evil. He was willing to kill innumerable innocent humans in terrible fashions just to get into Vash's head and make him insane for grief. He knew how to exploit Vash's only weakness to its maximum potential and was even willing to sacrifice his life to crush Vash's spirit.

So evil.

So, so evil.

And Kefit, you make me sad for wanting to see Yukino and Arima broken up.

Also, I wanted to add another category:
Worst idea for an anime: Eat Man. (Runner up: Kekko Kamen, but that was made for a purpose)

Seebach was a man who had, for the most part, noble intentions. Seek out the truth of the city's past, get people concerned and interested in the nature of their existence, knowledge is power, all that stuff. But he became so damn obsessed with the whole thing that it turned him into a paranoid, murderous psycopath.

I like those villains. They have truly righteous causes, but go about it all the wrong way and/or are insane and/or irrational. Schwarzwald was all of them, and he was really good at it. Plus his giant mech was freaking awesome.

So basically even the unedited Animes that go in English suck in your opinion? You'd seriously rather watch annoying subtitles than listening and understanding what they say?

I'm really temped to throw in my two cents here, but I'd rather not turn the thread into a sub vs. dub debate. XP

Just remember to remain open-minded about the things you don't prefer... especially when criticizing others for not doing so. Yeah, it's bad to generalize all dubs as bad, but it's just as bad to generalize all unedited dubs as good. They're equally wrong assumptions.

lord, most dubs are terrible just because English voice actors CANNOT accurately portray Japanese characters. My exhibit 1 is the Saber Marionette J dub. It is GOD-AWFUL. And not in the way that it's poorly done; Bandai produced it, but the voices just do not match the characters.

Animes are made by Japanese people and Japanese people are cast as the characters. That's the way the animes were meant to be watched. Putting an entirely different language behind it simply doesn't do it justice. For this reason, most dubs are terrible compared to the originals, and this is why they aren't liked. I've seen good dubs, myself, but that was mainly because the voice and the character were either not that intimately linked, or (more likely) the characters were more American (less Japanese) and could be portrayed by Americans.

Most animes, however, do not fit that description. They are Japanese shows, and conversions are NOT as simple as changing the voices.

As for subtitles, I don't understand how they're annoying at all. I'm not distracted from the action when I read AND I can get the appropriate (original) voice inflections and whatnot when I listen and read at the same time. Now, I have a friend who reads so slowly that I can understand why he wouldn't like subtitles, but for any normal person they're not a bit of a nuisance.

Also, I would never even pretend that I understood what they were saying. Sure, I've picked up a couple of phrases here and there, but I don't understand what they're saying, nor do I know anyone who would make such a ridiculous claim. Not that it even matters if I don't understand Japanese, because I can perfectly understand the English written at the bottom of the page!
