Don't let anyone tell you AP's are hard

I literally just got off the bus from my AP exam, and it was the eaisest test ever.

AP CS A, it's really a joke of an exam!

What AP's are you guys taking?

    RE: Don

I took AP English, Biology, and European History back in high school. I was also enrolled in some other random history AP which I never did the second semester for because I wanted an art class instead...still got credit for both semesters but never took the exam.

I sucked at everything except English, BTW. AP's are indeed hard, LD, when someone's not quite as intelligent as you (or Q...or even Tass )

      RE: Don

      mmm.

calc BC- done, probably a four, should have been a five but I forgot the formula for taylor series
english lit- this will be a joke
physics C- this will rape me in so many different ways
      psychology- see english
micro and macro economics- meh, I should get a five.

btw, of the aps I've already taken in years past and such:

art history- hard, but doable, especially if you can remember stuff
latin IV- probably easy. It's really easy to bullshit through the essays.
      english language- piss easy.
      calc AB- piss easy.
US history- easy if you can remember stuff (I can't)
      chemistry- easy as hell.

I went directly to college when I was in high school so I got my AP credits the direct way. I graduated with two associate's degrees with one college semester after graduating high school. So I basically had my journalism internship about 2-3 years before a typical student would have the chance to do so. Post-secondary options rock.

              RE: Re: RE: Don

I took about 7 AP Classes. Only took 2 exams... and, they are rather hard when you don't study for 1 second for either of them, nor pay attention in class for the entire year.

              3 on US History
3 on Chem... and, a buddy of mine who is a chemistry god, and has been since HS (founded the chemistry club at our school)... and is now finishing up as a chemistry major at University of Chicago and has been accepted to their PhD program in chemistry... said that the AP chem exam (same one i took) was unbelievably hard, and he got a 4. Now, could have just been the year i took it (4 years ago)... but, NO ONE of the 12 of us who took it got a 5, and only 2 people got a 4, I believe. Such a hard exam.

I took the AP English Language, AP English Lit, AP Calc BC, AP CS A, and AP Physics exams.

Of those, the calc and CS exams were laughably easy. The English exams were quite difficult. And the physics exam suffered from me having a four month gap between the test and my class, so I can't really judge it.

I got a 5 on English Lit, Calc BC, and CS. I got a 4 on the other two.

The wonderful thing is that they are all completely worthless, with the exception of the Calc test, because the credits I got for them are good for nothing at all.

Blargh, you cheated LD / Kefit.

We had to take the AP CS AB exam. Only two people passed: One is a genius (my close friend) and he passed with a 5. The other is solely a genius in Mathematics and programming (my other close friend) and he passed with a 4.

I, of course, got a 1. Nothing that my teacher taught us was on that exam.

                  Stupid Marine Biology -.-

                  ~Squeek

PS - Yes, that was my only AP exam. I didn't feel the need to take AP courses in High School when so few credits would actually transfer over. I had to take CS112 and CS211 anyway, which were solely reviews of Computer Science I and AP Computer Science, respectively.

Man, three years ago the AP Chem test was supremely easy. Of course, I figure your teacher is the biggest determining factor of ease. I had a great teacher and the year before me (your year, Tass) we had plenty of fives.

AP Gov't/Econ: Easy. I didn't study at all and got fours on both.

AP English language: I freakin' hate the AP English tests because they are the embodiments of everything I despise about literature. I got a three on language and didn't even take literature because I knew I wouldn't get a four.

AP Calc: I presume it was easy but I didn't take it because I already had Cal I credit at SMU before starting my senior year.

AP Spanish Language: Dear God this was a breeze. Of course, I've never had trouble with Spanish.

AP US History: It's been said that this is the hardest AP exam and I won't doubt it. I swear I should have gotten a four but I somehow ended up with a two. It didn't help, though, that we never even got to WWII in the class and the last short essay question was over either WWII or the cold war.

Yea... our AP Chem teacher didn't cover the last 3 chapters of material in our book. Needless to say, those three chapters were very important to the exam. Only my chem freak buddy spent the time to teach himself those chapters... go figure.

That sucks Squeek... it's werid that you had to take the AB. Did the college you planned on going to only accept that one for credit?

In our class, the 5 kids that took the AB exam had to learn the material on their own. That was told to them when they decided to go that route.

                        PS I got a 5, I know it

I took AP English and AP US History. I will agree that the History test was wicked hard. I scored a two, as well.

English was easy, except we had to evacuate because of a bomb threat in the middle of it, and then I didn't realize the essays were supposed to be written in pen until I had completely written mine in pencil, so I had to go back over all the words in ink. Wasn't hard, just frustrating. Until I took it, the highest score in my school had been a three, and there was a consensus among the English teachers that if anyone would break that, it would be my classmate, Bonnie. This infuriated me because Bonnie was the queen of BSing English assignments and I knew I was better. Then I scored a 4 and she got, like, a 2. I was thrilled.

EDIT: I feel compelled to mention that at my highschool, only three AP classes are offered: AP lang/comp, AP Lit, and AP US History. Yay small schools!

Those two friends of mine did this as well. They got tons of books to help them with it.

No, my college didn't require it. My teacher thought the A exam was too easy.

Bah I took the AP World History test yesterday. I think I got like a 2 or 3 because I hardly ever read the book and I didn't study.
