    TWG Turbo 35: A Small Gathering

    Small player setup: 7 players hosted by myself, and Sunfan

    5 Vanilla Town
    1 Seer
    1 Role-blocking wolf

    OOTC: Off
    Cardflips: On
    Phantoms: Off
    Minimum Post Requirement: 5 posts per phase. Anyone who does not meet this basic posting requirement shall be replaced at the end of the day phase.

    Days will be 12 hour phases starting at 12:00pm, and ending at 12:00am EST.

    1. Roundbox (Killed N1)
    2. XelNya (Removed from The Gathering D1)
    3. MixMasterLar (Killed N2)
    4. Mellonxcollie AKA: Raeko (Removed from The Gathering D2)
    5. Leetic (Survived to lose Endgame)
    6. Haze With A Z (Won at Endgame)
    7. _Zenith_ (Removed from The Gathering D3)

      Eh, I'm not too upset at the result at the end of the day. It's not that Haze played an incredibly clean game (although they still did well) but more that every single member of town (myself included) made some pretty bad mistakes and there was never really an attempt to come together as a team.

                  Tbh I also found the aspect of not having a pal kinda chill because if I lost I was only gonna let down myself and not others. The pal is literally the best and worst part of being mafia tbh.

                      Thank you Shadow and Sun for hosting!

                      I’ll be honest, this I’m pretty sure is my first turbo and I did not really enjoy the pace of it, but maybe that’s just because I’ve become accustomed to the shitpost phase and longer times. I wouldn’t be opposed in the future however I’m a little weary.

                      @Haze, you mentioned you felt that being a replacement is the most stressful position to be in? In my experience it has been the most enjoyable for me.

                          I'm not used to faster phases either. Haze does even faster games all the time on MU, which probably helped them here a lot. Ultimately, I think some good lessons are don't even dignify the irrelevant crap and focus more on consolidating town early in the game.

                              Haze played a near ideal wolf for most of the game, staying just active enough while not rocking the boat as much as some of the towns were. Felt like you almost blew your cover at the end, but pressuring the vote and taking advantage of the fatigued of the other players are definitely worth praising

                              On the other hand town had a pretty poor showing all around, and in hindsight we pretty much lost our way when Roundbox was outted.

                              I wish I had tried talking Leetic into going Haze EOD2, but at the time I thought Raeko was a better bet of the two and Leetic was already there

                                                      I don’t have any desire to read stuff I wasn’t in for. I think I’ve subbed in for one long form game before and it was like 3 years ago and I had no idea what I was doing and learned that I should be a better sheep.

                                                      What I liked about these phases was I was awake the whole time except for my napping during the day as I’m used to 12/12 games that start at 4am my time and I miss at least the first 4 hours unless I set an alarm and show up for a few. The other difference is the other place the first few hours were more important than the last few and it is more mech heavy than here tbh

                                                          They are called turbos there but it is like a one sitting game and I keep having to tell myself to call them speed games because here a turbo is 12/12 and there is a turbo is theoretically only paying attention to that the whole time(although I get distracted during the 4 min night phases which is sad)
