    Pump It Up major data loss 2021

    Andamiro's Pump It Up servers got completed wiped today, and backups are not recoverable.

    - All accounts created before September 2018 deleted
    - All accounts created after September 2018 wiped of scores

                      He's in good spirits about it, all things considered, but this is a colossal mess-up.

                      scores were all wiped from cards but machine bests still exist and a few things were recoverable (songs, titles, unlocks) up to Aug 11 or so
                      for anything gained after that you can send proof to andamiro and they should give you the thing

                                  It's more likely they never tested their backups to see if they did indeed work, and when they checked, they didn't work.

                                      The Korean version says that the backup got corrupted in succession, so I think it got corrupted either along with the server or while they were trying to recover the data. It's still a bit ambiguous to say which.

                                      Neither would've happened with a proper maintenance though...

                                              Given I only got into pump this summer I'm not that beat up over it. RIp to top players with all the nutty scores though.

                                                  what a thicc L. i'll still play and grind the clears i had and more, nd the free 300k pp is nice to have access to every chart now (hello 8 6 full ��), but god damn they really want me to re-pass so much stupid shit like errorcode s23...noooooooooooo

                                                          I was hoping they were working to make scores transfer to the next version of PIU, and now we don't even have the scores for the current version lol.
                                                          They are also having a lot of other issues like cards having information for different accounts and such.
                                                          At this point I think the best solution would be to release a patch to unlock all the songs/charts and turn off the switch for those poor servers hahaha.
