There's a shocking amount of 10+year active peeps on this site still
I think part of it is that there are very few new players coming into the site, the veterans are mostly what are left. It would help if the game was playable in browser and didn't require a standalone and a bunch of FPS/offset settings to be playable.

It's still playable in browser...

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Yeah, FFR is addicting...I don't think I'll get bored with this game unless I somehow become the best at it, which won't happen.
Re: Would my account be considered "old"?
js to above, i also play ffr on a browser so.. shrug emoji
but yeah uh... the age of your account seems almost average around here.
the oldest ones i've seen are from when the site first opened-- 2002-2004 just about.
