Alternatively, you could try to see if you can use this experience as a sign that something could be done about communication in general?

Sadly, I can't say much about that because I have no clue what's going behind the scenes, maybe everything is already fine the way it is.

for what it's worth, it's good that you apologized about this whole situation; certainly short-sighted on your end, but mistakes happen and it's good to move past it

as far as the thing that i've quoted, there are a few sets of files that require supplemental notes that i've been tasked with, but i've been finding it harder and harder to get motivated to do things

additionally, some of the negativity i've seen has made it a bit tougher to even care. feel free to drop the responsibility there - i've been poked and prodded to do work, and i've not done it; accountability has to go somewhere, so i think it's alright to drop it to me at least with regards to the OT stuff

those of you who have been on osu! know that i've been running a tournament that has been absolutely sucking the free time out of me, but this weekend is the quarter finals and after this point, the amount of matches cuts down substantially (as in: less matches in the next three weekends combined compared to this one) - so i should be able to at least get any files that still need to be looked at done

if things are still slow on the hard songs batch/other batches, i can help with those but i'm not making any sort of commitments to anything at all until May

wow looks like I missed a bunch of drama. I did not notice anything on my end. I know there was a bunch of shitposting recently, but I thought it was shitposting for the sake of shitposting. I might just be confused.

Hosting an osu tournament also sounds like a lot of work, don't burn yourself doing two tournaments at once AJ. If you're not motivated for FFR, don't force yourself. Nobody wins. As the great John Lennon once said, "Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted". If you'd rather do a bunch of osu stuff, it's 100% fine by me.

it's not that i do/don't enjoy it; that's not the point at all - it's that it's something i was responsible for and i stopped doing it, and nothing more

i'm not gonna really get into a back-and-forth thing about it; i'll just get the files done, help anywhere else needed to get the official going, whether or not that means digging into the regular batch in the near future, and then wipe my hands clean and be done for good

To clarify what I meant, I'm not the one that is in charge of the Official Tournament Batch. When I stated an ideal of having the Official Tournament start in July, that was just through my eyes. The real plans are through the ones in charge of the Official Tournament Batch.

I think we're all in agreement here that rushing is never good. There's been a lot of effort put into the OT Batch, and the most important part is letting it run smoothly. Further updates for that batch will come from the ones in charge of it from this point forward (in addition to the Official Tournament).
