if you have a good sense of rythm you can just go into the song editor, hit [Spacebar] at the VERY begginning of the song and scrol down to the end and hit it again so that you have the entire song selected, and i think the option was in the menu that pops up when you hit select. just choose "Record in section" [if theres arrows you need to get rid of first just look through the menu for "Clear"] and it will start playing the song, and any arrow keys you hit will be recorded and added in as notes. then you just go back and edit it.
