Wrong. 5/7/5 only.

I don't see any point in doing Haikus in English. English syllables have no "kire" which is the most important syllabic aspect of haiku poem structure.

NONE of the haikus I read in here have any seasonal terms. Kigo are not necessary, but traditionally customary to haikus.

Someone should instead try to write a senku. =)

Americanized Haiku = Poetry, not haiku. do whatever you want with your formats and stanzas and things, but please, don't call it a haiku.
