I've also heard some talk about the presence of side stories in the Harry Potter series, such as Tom Marvalo Riddle or things of that nature.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Ted Tonks went into werewolf form and changed hair color?

I kept imagining that to myself when I found out he could change his hair color.

Did you watch the MSNBC thing? She explained that they died to have another character be an orphan, but also show that unlike Harry or Tom, the orphan could grow up being completely normal. No scar, no hatred of certain individuals, nothing. Even normal enough to start dating at a young age.

Although I usually seclude my viewing time of NBC to watching Jay Leno, no, I didn't. Besides that, I rest my case: I still think it sucks that Tonks and Lupin died.

              And Fred for that matter.

                Yeah really.

Even Harry manages Snogging by his 6th year at the age of 16. Think for a moment: how old is Ted Tonks during the epilogue?

But yeah I figured that was why Lupin and Tonks were killed. Also, it allows Harry to take the role that Sirius could have had in his own life.

By the way, I just realized that Lupin and Tonks are totally their last names. I guess she didn't take the name of Lupin when they got married? They explain why she doesn't like being called by her first name, but do they ever explain Lupin? Is it just to drive home the wolf monicker? How many people are really that familar with the name to the degree that they know of the connection?

I liked the part where Harry used 3 wands at the same time and sent that werewolf guy FLYING.

That sort of bothered me. If it was that easy to increase your magical output, why not just carry around like 5 wands at once.

Or rather, have a wand maker craft you a wand with 5 different elements in the core, thus giving it the magical power of 5 wands at once.

Thinking this way, it would make sense to think that a person can only use one wand at once. Hell, if more wands equaled more power, why did Voldemort go to so much trouble to get the Elder Wand? Why not just collect like 10 of his Death Eaters' wands and use them all at once?

Because Rowling had a momentary lapse of awesomeness that didn't last long enough when she was writing that part.

Well, that and breaking out of the bank on a ****ing dragon. That was awesome too.

Wand-crafters, particularly Ollivander, would figure that you'd be up to no good if you wanted five wands.

Because Ollivander had no idea Voldemort was up to no good.
