Hopefully the great humor in the first part of the series will mean that the latter part of the series will have great drama.

The First Episode of Kanon '06 is almost like a copy of the first Kanon series. It is like having Deja Vu. I know they were going to remake it, but still this is like the exact same. Why remake it when you just make the same thing?

Ok, I admit it is better... there were a fair amount of small parts here and there that they added in that created WAY more foreshadowing... But it really IS like watching the exact same series over. It truely is Deja Vu, and I just didn't think the anime played well enough to my likes to watch the same thing, but with bits and pieces that were added, because I already saw the origonal, they seem to be spoilers all there own, reminding me of all the things I was trying to forget, to give this one a clean start.

Well, episode 6 was awesome. Looks like it's starting off THE MAKOTO ARC. The next episode preview was filled with ridiculous foreshadowing if you know Makoto's spoilers...

I've seen the whole original Kanon series, and prefer it over the 2006 remake.
Good point on a reason for remaking a series which had nothing wrong with it to begin with.
