    slash is amazing in sweet child o' mine...too bad he never did any solo performances like bucket head i would pay to see that...surprises me that nobodys really talked about jimi hendrix and the playing the national anthem with his teeth and woodstock...thats a pretty amazing solo...especially for a guy who was constantly drugged off his ass

        Slash's rendition of the Godfather theme could be considered a solo performance, but solo concerts, no. He isn't that type of guitarist.

        I mentioned Hendrix up a bunch of posts ago. Acid rock he was, died of choking on hsi vomit after he OD'd on sleeping pills.

                                                Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam has an amazing guitar solo. It's very soulful and fits the mood of the song perfectly.

                                                        The Sex Machineguns have some pretty bad-ass solos in most of their songs. I'm not saying that they are the best, but they deserve a listen. The solo in the above song starts around 2:08.
