Just one comment... how exactly is the Matrix an original plot? It is quite possibly the LEAST original plot ever used. What is the plot of the Matrix? Oh yea... that's right... THE STORY OF CHRIST. At least I agree with you on the majority of the rest of your post. Trinity is definately not hot. And, 3 definately sucks hardcore.

Plus, I like to look at LotR as 1 film, not 3, as it is a trilogy in the truest sense of the word. Combined, 30 Nominations and 17 Awards including 3 Best Pictures and 1 Best Picture Award (should have been 2, IMO. Beautiful Mind didn't deserve to win over FotR.) (As opposed to the Godfather movies with 29 Nominations and 9 Awards including 3 Best Pictures and 2 Best Picture Awards.)

Neo isn't Jesus, no matter how much stupid fans want to make him out to be. This is people too busy looking for empty symbolism that adds nothing to the plot and obsessing over names like "Trinity" and "Zion."

Dude... Neo is definitely Jesus. In addition to what blah said, a cross of light also forms on his body after he has died in the third movie. Did that light have to be there? No.

Plus, the whole sacrificing-yourself-for-humanity thing is impossible to ignore.

Definitely Lord of the Rings, especially Return of the King. Look at all of the awards those movies racked up...they are definitely the best. Great acting, great special effects, great story.

No, they were great....but WAY too much hype. The third one most definitely did not deserve to sweep the Oscars, enough said.

First of all, I'm going to put my favorite movies as the greatest movies, because I don't care what film snobs think are great movies. I care what I think are great movies, meaning the Best movies of all time are going to be my favorites, in my opinion. Favorite Sport/action movie: Bloodsport or Ping-Pong (japanese import, so doubt anyone else has seen it...but has some cool special effects)
Comedy: MPATQFTHG, or man on the moon
Drama: Shawshank redemption/American beauty (although it could be considered one of my favorite comedies as well.)

wow.. I have to come in here and just drop my jaw in disgust...
Bloodsport had to be one of the absolute worst movies ever made; starring one of the worst action actors ever, in his worst role other then possibly Street Fighter. Again, Holy Grail isn't even the best Monty Python movie, try and watch something else. Might I suggest Life of Brian?
