Yes I realize uber bump because this is on like the last page but.....2nd season just ended and I must say I cried for it. I won't really list any spoilers. Jas the movie is coming out on DVD, I think. And yes the Movie ties up loose ends from the story I believe from what I've read from ANN, fullmetal-alchemist.com, and some other links listed on ANN.

The fact that basically most everyone in that episode was a homunculus kind of annoyed me because the humunculi are spawns of Ed and Al's transmuation to bring back their mother when they were children. That's why Juliet Douglas resembles their mother. Maes dying just made me wince and his funeral was so emotional and tear bringing. Warn me if you must mods but this was a damn good episodes that everyone should see. Rest in peace Brigadier General Maes Hughes.

Huh. I never realized until this episode that he had no alchemist "powers". He just relies on his blade. It's a shame he died, he played a fine Mercutio.

I just finished this series, and what a horrible yet satisfying ending it had.

FMA suffered from some severe pacing problems (it needed more episodes at the end, and it could have easily been done in 39 episodes, if not less), but when it was good, it was excellent.

Meh, I don't entirely like FMA. I just see it as another anime put on AS for the brainless Dub-loving masses who only watch the anime on AS and nothing else. Those type of anime fans, I cannot stand.

I wish I could have some other way, but I'm simply restricted to what airs on cable television. I wouldn't call FMA brainless either, as it has a good share of ethics and what-not. That, and the artist really knows how to express extreme emotion on faces.

Come to think of it, the only retarded brainless anime on AS is Inuyasha.

They found them all at around 125.

Anyway, FMA was good for me. What episode are they on now on AS?

They just ended season 2...So I'm pretty sure that means AS is on episode 26. That's the last episode of new episodes till September. Prepare yourselves for reruns guys.

Episode 26? What a crappy place to stop. They should have stopped after 25.

And FMA is actually a rather intelligent show. It explores a myriad of serious themes (genocide, death, war, family, etc.) in a much more successful way than I have ever seen any other anime accomplish. I particularly liked how multiple sides to each issue were presented, with no real moral stance on them being taken by the show. I was expecting this series to be a rather brainless action anime when I started it (which isn't a bad thing, necessarily), so I was rather pleasantly surprised by all of this.
