He's a very, very loose player -- he prefers the rather risky, hard to execute maneuvers if it means it's faster. Problem is he screws up often, so it'll take him more tries in order to pull off a good time. But when he pulls it off, it's great.
Downside to that kind of strategy is when the underlying strategy is optimized and someone else beats his loose strategy simply because their path was faster. At this point I think the paths are pretty well-optimized (it's been out for years), but there are probably little tricks here and there that could be done more safely with a higher time expectation.
dude needs to seriously calm it down sometimes. Nero's best run had two deaths in it or sth... he doesn't have to breakneck it 100% of the way through, especially @ parts he's known for screwing up
