Re: [News]US and British forces have fired at least 110 Tomahawk cruise missiles at l
heheh. Yea the CNN thing is out of date and already on to a celebrity death. Try this one from the NYT:
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/23/wo....html?_r=1&hpw
Lets try what they say. The downed officer called an airstrike since he saw people coming towards him and did not know who they were. (This makes sense, since there are plenty of pictures on the NYT site of people gawking at the downed plane.) Apparently, from me looking at two other things, there seems to be no question that the bombs from harriers happened. The questions remain in two areas, what were the casualties from the jet bombings and did the extraction helicopter use gunfire on the people. NYT so far seems unable to confirm any civilian deaths, though another British news source claims six injuries, and the officers are strongly denying any use of gunfire in their extraction.
That horrible, but it does beg a question. Why the hell would approach a downed plane in a war? I mean... when a UFO lands in the desert, the guy always walks up to and gets shot with a ray gun. When a monster makes a noise in the basement, the woman always goes down and gets eaten. This is the same rule of thumb! If a military plane goes down, the military is probably going to show up... with guns and stuff! I mean really!
P.S. YAY! SHOES! Although I've already seen a markup done by someone on collegehumor.com. I just want to know if they're actually going to put these things into major production or if they're going to basically hoard the patent so no one else can do it.
