No matter who someone is, if such an exploit is discovered by being used on them, then it should be known. Who is to say that Moogy is the only person this will ever be used on? What if someone that everyone on the site likes accidentally gets a mod angry, and the mod boots them and freezes their comp? How is that any different than what happened here? It's not.

How popular someone is does not affect the fact that the exploit is there, ready and waiting to be abused by any mod that desires to do so, and something should be done about it. Attacking Moogy's credibility does not hide the fact that there is an exploit that has to be dealt with.

if this "exploit" weren't used, yeah, I'd cally Moogy a whiney bitch too. but in this case, he's completely right. if a moderator (operator, whatever...) specifically uses a glitch whereby a persons computer locks with knowledge of the consequences, then there should definately be some administrative reprocussions. banning is a bit harsh, but that is not something that someone with power should ever be allowed to do.

Synthlight gave me permission to freeze the internet of someone who was constantly spamming or was harassing someone beyond a certian extent. I told him how it was done, because I was the one who figured out how to do it. I only use it on extreme cases in the chat, and when other mods agree that it should be done.
