its sad that a lot of people in forums are too immature to cope with their posts being edited and threads being locked. but really how many people here actually care about this little hatewar against archowl? frankly arch can edit the shit out of this post and every other post on this forum. thats because of mod status. and how do you get mod status? you convince some person in authoriaty to give it to you. so you know, i have only one thing left to say to all the whiney little forum kiddies here. here we go... my 2 cents. If you could kindly go back in time and remember who hated arch the most on the website you will see it was me. Most of you guys are stuckup and really wont give arch a chance here. I was an asshole just as much as he was back then. i took some initiative and made a truce with him and started talking to him whether he wanted to or not. now we talk more and more and realized that hes not the totally power hungry asshole you guys like to make him look like. hes mature, smart, doesnt just jump into arguments... he does research if he needs to and takes time to set his rebuttle. jewpin is 100% right that arch is doing his job because he is. so far ive only seen one thing that he should have done otherwise which was the unlocking of the thread. im not saying its wrong and it was his decision because he is an admin. but it would have been nice of him to ask jewpin if he cared or not. it doesnt matter if it was right or wrong by what you think. its his choice and hes allowed too, which is why hes an admin and you arent. basically shut up with the OMG HES AN ADMIN ITS THE END OF THE FUCKING WORLD AS WE KNOW IT shit and accept that fact that he is/will be a good mod in the future and deserves it for being 1) commited to this web site 2) mature 3) experienced. he has his own forums which are run rather smoothly from what i can see. so can you all stop with the bitching about it and end it here? let the guy do his job.

I personally think making Arch a mod was one of the best things that ever happened to the forums. He doesn't put up with n00bs, and he posts with intelligence. Just because not many people like him doesn't mean he isn't going to be a good mod. Give him a chance....

Here are some simple facts:

Arch0wl is a mod

He will follow my rules as a mod on my forum

Arch honestly cares about the future of FFR and has shown that to me over the last 8 months

If you have any problems take them up with me

We are trying to bring some reasonable control to these forums

If you cannot hold normal conversations, debates, sillyness and respect the rules.. Leave.. Nobody is forcing you to stay here

Ultimately I am trying to work for the better of the site as are all the mods. Help us make this a reality

If people would spend less time hating and more time contributing (like specforces) this forum would be a much better place

Jello, I've only said something because I don't feel he's being mature. Every thread that cropped up (except finally this one) about him being a mod got locked by him. And this one would've been locked too if someone had flamed him in it. Like I said in my previous post, he's gotta get over himself and do his job objectively.

Arch = mod = better ffr forums...

if all the mods love what arch is doing why didnt they have the balls to do the same thing in the first place...in my mind youre all a bunch of pansies, you could have locked all the same threads in the past...what are you afraid of making e-enemies

if you didn't remember when i first became mod/admin.. i went on a "locking rampage" too.. everything that broke the rules i either locked or edited... or even deleted.. i moved things to organize the forums better...

When cenright became mod.. he went on a "locking spee", edited/deleted/moved posts to make this forum better...

I dont remember wether jewpin did the same or not..

Now Arch is mod and he is on a "locking spee", editing/deleting/and moving posts to make this forum a better place.. the only difference with arch is.. that he probably wont "calm down" with his locking and stuff like the rest of us did.. I wansn't truely prepared when i got made admin.. and although i thought it, i probably wasn't the best person for the job..

Arch IS ready for it, and he IS prepared for it, and as much as some of yall don't like it.. he IS the best person for the job..

I think arch becomming a mod will make people thinks twice before posting useless shit.. and will stop people from pushing the boundaries (sp?) of the rules..

really...locking a topic will only create more frustration for the members, in general...and i dont remember cen going on a locking spree that pissed people off...i just dont see how this will make the forums better than they were before
