Taking a few liberties does not make someone a mature human being inferior to a child of three, nor does it make someone socially inept.Comment

Re: Please pray for my cousin
Best wishes on your cousin and his family. Really sad to hear about such young children in so much pain.
On another note having Emo in your name makes you a bit of a target and the internet is generally not the most friendly place but it still doesn't give them a reason to derail such a serious thread.Comment

Re: Please pray for my cousin
I'm surprised at how many aren't mature enough to resist cracking a joke to boost their self esteem in a serious situation, especially at someone's time of need (even if it is only ffr forums).
I hope the little guy pulls through. Best wishes to him, you, and your family.Comment

It doesn't bother me to be mocked because I'm Emo, but this is serious..Best wishes on your cousin and his family. Really sad to hear about such young children in so much pain.

Re: Please pray for my cousin
Is there any logical reason, even if we accept God and his power as absolute truth, to pray for anything? If God exists, and has a plan, why ask him to change it? Asking for favors through prayer is about the stupidest thing I can imagine. If there is a God, he's certainly not going to stop what he's doing to rethink his long-term plan which has been in the making for many times our own life span, and if there is no God, we are whining to thin air. I ask you, why bother? If you're going to put your faith in something, put it in the miracle of modern medicine. Really, if you want so badly to believe your cousin's fate isn't pre-determined, Atheism or Agnosticism would both probably be a better system of belief for you.Comment

Re: Please pray for my cousin
Let's not turn this thread into an atheist vs. christian mud-slinging fest.
I don't beleive in God at all, but I really hope your cousin makes it through. He will have learned so much from life. It will only make him stronger.Truth lies in loneliness, When hope is long gone by -Blind Guardian, The Soulforged

Re: Please pray for my cousin
I don't think people prey because they want god to do something and if they do they are foolish or uneducated on their own religion. Christians IMO should simply prey to be comforted. Is there any logical reason, even if we accept God and his power as absolute truth, to pray for anything? Also if you thought I was mocking you Angilic I wasn't...I was simply saying be prepared for it and it will be hard for you to be accepted into the community as many including I think the vast majority of emo's are whiny and don't have any serious personal problems.Comment

This isn't a thread about who believes in God. Theres a CT forum where they would be glad to hear from you.Is there any logical reason, even if we accept God and his power as absolute truth, to pray for anything? Who ever created this thread obviously does, and thats all that matters. It may sound harsh, but if you dont believe in God, you probably shouldnt have posted in this thread.Comment
