so Konami is dis-allowing any form of DDR song in the DB? thats pretty gay.... i just checked, and it tells me my V for extreme and Rhythm and Police files are copyrighted.....

for starters, my files are made by me. secondly, if its the music itself Konami is pissed at, then why go ahead and ban it all? what can they prove? they dont know wether or not ive bought every single DDR CD ever made, or if ive illegally downloaded every single DDR song ever.......

i personally think they need to not be as anal about it..... they should be happy people are spreading their music, shouldnt they? and if theyre gonna be like this with their music, you would think theyd care about graphics too.... might as well go on and ban anyone on myspace with, say, a SuperNOVA banner in their pics or myspace bg, considering it would be copyrighting thier logos, wouldnt it? (correct me if im wrong)

Perhaps you didn't understand.

You see, if you were to pirate a copy of say.. DDRExtreme for the playstation, you'd be in trouble with Sony and Konami, as you have illegally downloaded the GAME. That doesn't mean you'll be charged for listening to the songs while playing the pirated copy of the game, but just for the game itself.

So if you were to do what you did and illegally download the songs instead of buying the OST, you'd be in trouble because the SONGS were downloaded. Just because you own the games doesn't make you exempt from the fact you have the songs on your computer.

Follow my advice and remove the songs from your computer, because if you don't, you could be facing SERIOUS concequences, INCLUDING jail time. And I'll go out and say that you won't get much sympathy from a jury trial because they don't want to be there in the first place, and given the type of music you illegally downloaded, you wouldn't have a single person on the jury stand who listens to or cares about Konami's brand of Japanese music.

Plus, Konami fails to relize that untill, very very very very VERY recently you couldnt get soundtracks of DDR in the US or Europe. even now, only about 14 songs from SuperNOVA can be gotten on from iTunes.

Unfortunately, yes. I'm sorry to inform you, but because of the fact you have discovered that it was indeed copyright infringement, it has already been sent to the database via your media player. You have to get rid of them before they can possibly track you and charge you with outrageous fines. I'm sorry that it has had to come to this, but it's the best advice I could possibly give as a caring person.
