Re: Outdoor Track and Field 2007
I don't do track anymore, but im training for volleyball, and i do alot of leg work, and 10 metre sprints and stuff like that. But last year I made it to the cities in long jump just off raw talent lol no training whatsoever. But because I never trained, I came 7th with 4.69 m. This was in gr 8. When I do the sprints, my trainer/coach guy (lol) is making me work on my arms when I run. And to get my knees higher. I think he's doing this because he's a friend of my dad and my dad ran varsity track in university. He wants me to become a sprinter because I'm already fast-ish and havent trained at all. But volleyball=life and its my passion.
Lol I just realized i told you my life story XDComment

Re: Outdoor Track and Field 2007
10 meters is about 4 strides. That's not much of a leg workout.

Re: Outdoor Track and Field 2007
If you read, it says I have a low knee indirectly so it is to work on my knee getting higher and my arms. I'm not a sprinter. I do long jump, but I stopped track and went to volleyball. It's also to work on my reaction time for volleyball. I stand like I would on defence and then I start the sprint when they tell me to go. Because I need to make my reaction time better.
Look, more of my life story lol.Comment

Re: Outdoor Track and Field 2007
Ran my first meet this season on Thursday. I'm gonna do 800m next year cause I'm sure I can do well in it.
400m-58.22 3rd place
200m-26.52
I'm in grade 9, or "a freshman" as you ppl call it in the U.S. I'm looking to improve my 400 time at the next meet, but are these times any good?Comment

Re: Outdoor Track and Field 2007
whoa! I remember that guy now. Fast as hell lol. looks like emmcky's got some competition
Oh, and whoever said there 4x4 relay ran a 3:27 has gotta be ranked high in state. Ours is ranked 4th with 3:24 i think. I don't know, maybe three seconds is a lot for state. I've never went. Also, our top 400 meter guy is a sophmore who ran 49.0 at regionals lol. first rank in state as of now.
Edit: its hard to believe a 14 year old can jump 22 feet (so obviously a sprinter) yet runs smokin fast long distance as well? bs unless u have proofLast edited by dawg4321; 05-22-2007, 10:39 AM.Comment
