You don't need a boyfriend, especially at fourteen. Just have guys as friends, you don't need to - or really even should - be dating at this point. Maybe something will happen with a friend, but dating isn't that important. I'm fifteen and I know that I'm at a young age to be dating [but it just happened that way ^^] And yes, a lot of guys think "GIRL! SEX!", but try to find the guys that respect you for who you are. One thing I've noticed between guys who respect girls and guys who are pervs is where their eyes are. If they look you in the eyes [I purposely do that], they respect you. If they're looking at your boobs, or anywhere really, I guarantee you it's not going to be worth it.

And above all, don't be physical with somebody because that's what he wants - only if that's what you want.

Eh, I'm not in the mood to read this whole thread, cause I assume it's all the same as the first page, just worded differently.

You're 14, and though dating is something that you need to start AROUND that age, you gotta know what you're doing, and accept the fact that there's a 99.9% chance that it will not last. The guys will say love, the girls will say love, I can almost guarantee it's no more than puppy love. Your teen years are where you have to learn how to love yourself, cause if you don't then it doesn't matter who else loves you, you'll still be miserable. So many people are dependent on others to make them feel good, and that's honestly just using the other person. Take time to learn how to be happy with yourself, only then can you actually be happy with someone else. And please, stop looking for love at the age of 14 or it will be disappointment after disappointment.

I never really felt lonely because I have my sisters and my friends if i'm bored, lol. Just get out there with your friends and do something, and it makes no difference if you've got a bf.

No, but being outspoken about something like that make one seem prudish. You can certainly have your reservations, but if a girl leaves it as more of an enigma she is much more likely to attract guys of all types. Don't be whorish or prude, try to find the happy balance between the two.

Heh, yes of course it is best to be honest, but I am being realistic. She wants a boyfriend, most immature guys want nothing but sex. She needs to speak ambiguously about those matters so as not to ward off any potential boyfriend. Then, once she has him whipped she can slow the pace. I'm a guy talking, and I've seen this strategy used on other guys to great effect, so I'm sorta transcending a boundary by suggesting it, but it works. Of course, she will have to stick to her guns...
