I'm really upset that I keep getting 85's and **** on honors geometry quizzes. They're easy as ****, I just make so many mistakes. The worst part is that the class is graded 90% by quizzes and tests. 5% is homework (which I just started slacking on due to not knowing what the **** it is) and 5% participation (I force myself to participate, but I think I should get the full 5 for this).

Whatever, I'm on to more important things, like studying number theory in my spare time.

I'm 20% quizzes and 80%tests
He never checks homework and thinks that you can tell if someone does their homework by how they score.

80% tests? If he doesn't give out a lot then that's royally unfair. Being someone who has taken Math Olympiads and got a 2/5 on an extremely easy test which I made 3 mistakes which should have led to a 5/5 just because I was having a bad day. Because of that forfeited my title as biggest math nerd to some total loser by two points.

I have many bad days. It would suck to have a bad day on a test where even a one point difference on that one measly test can mean the difference between a B+ or an A on your report card.

At my school, it's impossible to get an A+.. I got 103% on my Global Issues exam and got an A. School's always been easy for me.. I didn't study and got all As on my exams, except maybe New Testament [but that's a crap course, the teacher is incomprehensible, confusing, and disorganized.]

Edit: If I don't get a scholarship because I can't get over a 4.0 GPA.. I'ma be pissed off at my school. I should just go to public school and get a 4.1ish, but I've got to settle for this =/ There's almost no extra credit at my school, also. If I was going to Western [the nearby public school], I'd do a lot better.

4.0 is usually tops. That's how it is around here. I had about 105% in 3 of my core classes a few years back. I still had the 4.0. That's the only 4.0 I've ever gotten. I usually get anywhere from 3.5-3.9

I am horrific at math. Geometry(I excel at this), Arts, English, Public speaking, Philosophy.. all cake but I've always struggled with math. Must be genetic or something. Don't get me wrong I took and passed calc, etc it just flew out of my head again.

Where I'm from [Michigan], it's not uncommon for the smartest people to get above 4.0.. I think the highest I've heard of recently is 4.35. I know I could get at least 4.05 if I went to public school, but it's prolly worth it to go to private and get 3.95ish, because what college wants a kid from Western? It's pothead central ^^

I'll be getting my semester report within the week, I'll let you know how I do.
