I've left mints and my flash drive in the wash before. Needless to say, the mints didn't survive. But, my flash drive went through the washer and dryer and still works perfectly.

My Pokemon Silver gameboy cartridge went through the washer. It still worked but all my data was gone and the game would always quit on me and the screen was messed up all the time. I had caught almost all the Pokemon and I had 23 Pokemon at Lv. 100.There is a 50% chance your pillow will eat you while you are sleeping.Comment

It works!
The screen is still kind of funny, but it seemed to be getting better as I used it.
I turned it off and took the battery and sim card out again and now it's laying in the sunlight with a fan blowing on it.Comment

Re: I ran my new phone through the washing machine.
My first cellphone (a Nokia 3220) survived soda-immersion after only a month's ownership (Teenage brothers are a pain), got cleaned by the store about a month after that when it started screwing up. Worked like a charm after that, through many drops and being thrown in anger at a wall no more than five or six feet away at least once (people who are supposedly my friends who ditch the friendship for a bf/gf piss me off so badly). It started dying after a year and a half. Got my mum's old celly (same model as my first one). THAT one, I lost about mid-last month, along with my I.D., housekey, bus pass, bank card and Frisks. The next morning, I make the calls and cancel my bank card and suspend my cellular account. Seeing as government offices aren't open on weekends, I couldn't very well do much about my photo I.D. or my Social Insurance Number. Replaced those and my housekey on that monday, and bought myself a new cellphone, a Nokia 6682. It's miles better than my old phone, so despite all that, I think I got the better end of the deal.
That's my life with cellphones thus far.

Re: I ran my new phone through the washing machine.
the phone might not be clean after the washing machine. but the iPod better damn well be!
reminds me of what happened to my XBOX, not through the washer, i brought it to a day care (i got $100 to watch the kids =P) and Dead or Alive Extreme(1st)
and i was hitting on this one girls older sister for 1....ok 5 minutes. and when i turn around and ask the kids if they wanna play XBOX? they said yea, I opened it up, and the whole inside was literally covered with playdoh (they closed and opened it about 15 times so it was spread out)
I nearly killed one of them kids, but i didnt. i wouldnt get the $100 =P
the XBOX still dont work.
but i did evantually get a 360.
EDIT: i never went to a day care anymore either(though that was the 2nd time i went to any day care to watch kids) even for money.Last edited by ChaosMaster1; 01-5-2007, 10:20 PM.

You people and your fancy phones. All I need is something that can do just what it was intended to do: make a phone call. All the people who spend so much time and money to make their phones do everything else make me laugh.Comment

Actually, all of the little "features" you are so against really come in handy when you're standing around waiting for someone/something in a very awkward situation, or where you're somewhere you don't want to be. It's happened to me a lot before, and when you feel like you need to look like you're doing something, your cellphone is there for you.

Re: I ran my new phone through the washing machine.
The only reasons I spent money on my phone this time:
1) I needed to spend money to get a practical gift to make my grandmother happy.
2) So I resist the urge to throw it at something when my phone pisses me off or someone calls me and pisses me off.
3) The keyboard format inside the phone makes texting and adding contacts infinity times easier and it wows the ladies.

Re: I ran my new phone through the washing machine.
And who are you to make that call?
PS My phone sat in a puddle of water because my football jug of water thing leaked in my bag...It still work'd, but it would turn on and off all of a sudden all of the time. Quite a hassle, thankfully I had my warranty on it so I got a new one.Comment
